For all you Mozilla users there is some good news; the latest version of the popular Mozilla Web Software has just been released.

Some of the most notable changes are a significant increase in speed, performance and usability: compared to version 1.6, Mozilla 1.7 Beta is seven per cent (7%) faster at startup, it is eight per cent (8%) faster at window open time, has a nine per cent (9%) faster page loading time, and is five per cent (5%) smaller in binary size.

All the other changes and improvements are a listed in the release notes; 1.7 beta also includes all the changes from 1.7a.

Mozilla combines fast Web browsing, email, and IRC chat in one application and is a free download from www.mozilla.org.
