Downloads Back Up

Due to popular demand the hacks are back up but because i paid for the bandwidth myself... no one signed up and completed one of the ipod offers... guess that idea didn't work, next month, I don't know how early the downloads will be offline but if there are no donations I can't make guarantees. In addition, we're making costly cuts on next month's bandwidth by putting in a new system. Hope you guys enjoy the hacks being back up and all

Edit(Sno): Well the script is done we are putting the finishing touches such as skinning and other small mods

Edit2: I pruned all the forums because they're all filled with useless threads, hopefully this problem will be eliminated with the new download script...

thats wierd i filled out for it for ya to help support mpc. i think it was a scam.

No, it's not a scam... just cause u filled out the form doesn't mean you're entered in, you have to complete one of the credit card offers. 6 of my friends did it and all have iPods... I already have an iPod, i thought it'd be a good way to just get something to easily sell but it looks like nobody with a credit card believes that it works. If you read the wired article it links to some websites that have people who did interviews with NBC & TechTV, it's not a scam.

do they take money from your CC? and if so how much? ill give a CC to them if its cheap enought for a ipod. LOL i dont need a ipod or care to have one but i give it a shot. thanks

and as for your host. 200 gigs of bandwith a month. thats a **** load of leechers. have you looked into a dedicated server? get the whole computer and put all your sites onto that one alone. you get like 1200gig a month. with 80 gig hard drive and you be spending like 99 a month instead of 200 or if you ment earlier u needed 200 to save up for future payments. Just a idea.

The idea of seperating each part of mpc into 3 sections (main page, forums, and downloads) is so that if for some reason, there's an error with 1 box, the other 2 boxes don't suffer as well (as u might be able to tell now, mpcforums.com is down but mpcdownloads.com is still up). In any case, we're working on a system that will completely change mpcdownloads very soon so expect to see the changes in february
