Make Your Own Runescape Server

Really a Runescape Server are you foreal?

Yes, it’s now possible thanks to a guy named daiki, The Server is build off a sandbox called
Blackscape, The server is coded in Java, And is just Beginning it’s development Stage.
It’s currently Lacking Features; But it’s a start!

What do I need?

The min computer specs:

- any proccessor, 333Mhz
- atleast 50MB of diskspace
- 150MB of ram
- Java and a brain

Java download is located at:

1] Install Java, Once you installed Java2] Download the server

3] Extract it to a Folder

4] run Compile.bat let the server compile, you shouldn’t get any errors, If you do, Your javac.exe probably isn’t installed if so read the next step if not, skip the next step

OPTIONAL

5] Move the server files to your java folder in C:\Program Files\Java\; go to the BIN folder, put the files in that folder, run compile.bat AGAIN and it should work
move the files back to the folder, click on run.bat and yor done!

Client

6] extract the client into another folder

7] run rsprivservclient.exe let it load, put in any username in the username slot

8] put 127.0.0.1 or localhost into the Server slot, click login

And your done!

CongratZ You have made your first Runescape Server.

Commands for Gamemasters

::kick playername (kicks player from server. Only for level 3 admins)
::item itemID (spawns item on ground)
:ickup itemID amount (spawns an X amount of item to backpack. itemID must be 4 digits. for example coins are 0955)
::empty (clears items from your backpack)
::mypos (tells your location)
::tele xxxx,yyyy (teleports you to xxxx,yyyy cordinates. Both must be 4 digits)
::nick newnick (changes your name to newnick
:layers (tells you the number of players. Fixed this on version 20051104 and later)
::bank (opens your bank. anywhere, anytime)
:ass newpassword
::mod modlevel (Changes your modlevel. 0=normal player, 1=player mod, 2=golden crown -mod)
::yell some text here (Send a message shown for everyone on the server)

That’s it, if your having problems ask it here.

I did all the instructions of the extracting.. but it gets an error when i click the run.bat file. im sure i did everything else correct.

I think its some thing wrong between Java and the compile file. i get this : C:\Documents and settings\***\Desktop\20051104-server>javac *.java 'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file.

thats what i get from the compile file.
when i try open the run file. it opens then suddenly closes.
any suggestions?

I got it sorted... But its rubbish!! you can spawn what u want.. which is cool... but its rubbish. theres no one to kill your there all by your self.. its really poor. i thought i might be able to get stuff from the server i create and bring it on a real runescape server.

how do you find the item id?
